Kristina Bui

Born and raised in Yorba Linda, CA, Kristina "Bui" first trained in ballet at the age of 6 and was later involved in gymnastics and competitive ice skating. She rediscovered her passion for dance when she joined her first competitive team in junior high. Kristina continued dancing throughout high school where she later became co-captain of her team and received the "Performing Arts Scholar" award. After being accepted to the University of California, Irvine, she found her love for hip-hop after joining Kaba Modern in 2006 where she danced for 3 years and represented the team at Hip Hop International in 2008. While attending UCI, Kristina was part of the "Spring Awakening" cast in the 2008 Greek Songfest production with her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. She was also accepted into the Jimmie Defore Dance Center Scholarship Program for the Summer 2008 term where she received intense training in jazz, contemporary, ballet, and hip-hop. She graduated from UCI in 2009 with a B.A. in Business Economics and a minor in Management. Since 2008 she has been a part of Kaba Modern Legacy and is currently the Assistant Artistic Director of Visual Design.
